Sign up to be a Session Steward: Help us out and win points toward prizes or a registration discount
Session Steward Role
The primary job of session stewards will be to toggle back and forth between the Zoom meeting where speakers are presenting and the EventMobi platform (in a web browser) where attendees are watching the session.
Technology and Tech Savvy:
UMISC staff will schedule and host test-runs of the EventMobi and Zoom session interfaces every week in October. Stay tuned! If receiving a registration waiver or discount, training is required. If only receiving game points (see below) training is optional, but highly recommended.
Incentive!
If you are able to accept prizes from partners (which we know some government employees are not), you will get 250 points towards The UMISC Championship (the in-conference game) for each session that you steward. Compete with other attendees to win prizes, such as free registration for the next UMISC! (Employees and contractors of UMISC and any of its host entities are not eligible to participate)

- Monitor the Q&A session for any inappropriate questions (or overly argumentative comments) and report to the conference administrator
- This is somewhat up to professional discretion, but anything that violates the UMISC Code of Conduct should be reported
- The UMISC audience is highly professional, so we are not anticipating serious issues, but better safe than sorry!
