Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteers play a vital role in helping to make UMISC a great conference. The benefits of volunteering go beyond attending conference sessions, including broader networking opportunities with expert presenters and attendees, learning new skills, and adding qualifications to your professional portfolio.
We recognize that volunteering can also be a means to offset costs for students, nonprofit staff, and others who might otherwise be unable to attend the conference. Volunteers that commit to 4 hours of conference assistance are eligible for a 25% registration discount. Volunteers that commit to 8 hours are eligible for a 50% registration discount. Because this will be a hybrid event, most volunteer roles will require a basic level of computer literacy and ability to use web-browser based apps and cloud storage services. We anticipate training our volunteers on the particulars. |
